Citizens at boiling point over Government Inaction
Furious mobs smashed windows and set fire to cars across the nation after it was disclosed that a
number of oil company lobbyists were present at last week's closed door hearings on the proposed
National Mass Transit Initiative. The Bill's defeat in the House, followed a day later by the
announcement of yet another record breaking quarter for 2 of the nation's largest oil companies
had left a sour mood in cities struggling without adequate public transportation.

Protesters
chanted 'Mass Transit Now!' and demanded the release of the congressional aide who leaked the details
of the lobbyist's involvement in what had been touted as the largest public works proposal since the Great
Depression.
Los Angeles, Detroit, Cleveland, Houston, San Jose, Boston and Lawrence, Kansas all reporting violence. RockLobster said it was the same in Canada last week. This week she's got a message you all need to hear. Did I mention Texas? Can you say meltdown? Where is Kansas City?
rogue pilot? and the what?
MsGeek reports from LA that apparently some navy pilot flipped and dropped bombs on the city. The radio says this guy is certified nuts and dropped his fuel tanks.
Nuts. I'll go with that. Im not so sure about the Bennu - something rings true there, but something seems,
I dunno, sinister? Got to watch that.
Carboneers
In brighter news,
lead_tag earned the second Carboneer Award (as well as reminding me why I don't shave in the first place) followed quickly by musical miawithoutoil. Letters are going fast folks, get in on the

Dessum9, he's OK, he got into a little scrape with the local constabulary for ... let's just say Dess can get a little loud if he is provoked. He's a blast at a hockey game, but his team was losing last week, after we heard about the NMTI bill, he
got loud and got detained for a bit. Our cops aren't like like this, yet. It's funny though, the little things, I had
him look at this
article on how to make soap and he's all over it, want's to set GT's yard on
fire :P He's gonna kill me for that one :)
As for me, I've been quiet. My wife left last week to go live with her mom. I spend too much time with my oil-head friends she said. I don't blame her. I just want to say thanks to English_Villager for reminding me that I am not being deported. From here on, things need to get better, somehow.
